Spirits in Bondage: A Cycle of Lyrics, C.S. Lewis

This year I read no Three or Two Star books in 2019 that I recall.

These are not all of the books I read in 2019, but they are the only ones I recorded as having read. I did not read as much in 2019 as I typically do for a year as I was more involved in other forms of entertainment and learning. Perhaps the interesting thing is that reading six books (one of which was a reread) is still more books than half all Americans read in a given year as the median is four books per person. I think I may have started somewhere near thirty books, but only completed 20 percent of them. I will have to update the reading list more regularly this year.

I only list books that I read completely, from start to finish. The rating is based on what I remember of the book at the time of writing this post, and what I currently think about them, and does not reflect any other metric. It may be that if I were to read a particular book again that I would rate it higher or lower, or recall something about the book that I have forgotten that might affect their rating.

Five Stars are must reads.
Four Stars are highly recommended.
Three Stars are average or just above average.
Two Stars are below average.
One Stars are books that I finished but would never recommend. There are not many of those, as I typically do not finish that type of book.
